1. Controller

The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is the operator of LOWUMI Games. The controller's name, postal address and contact details are provided in the Imprint.

2. General information

LOWUMI Games can be used without registration and without creating a user account. We process personal data only where this is necessary to operate the website securely, to respond to enquiries or—after your consent—to understand how the website and its games are used.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted on a privately operated Synology NAS located in Germany. When you access the website, the web server may automatically process technical connection data, including:

This processing is necessary to deliver the website, maintain technical stability, detect misuse and protect the server against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data are not combined with other data sources and are deleted when they are no longer required for security and operational purposes, unless longer storage is necessary to investigate a specific incident.

4. Local storage and game data

LOWUMI games may store information locally in your browser, for example:

High scores and game settings remain on your device and are not transmitted to the LOWUMI server unless a future feature expressly states otherwise. You can delete these data through your browser settings. The consent decision is stored so that the banner does not have to be displayed on every page visit.

5. Consent settings

Google Analytics is optional. It is not loaded before you grant consent. Rejecting analytics has no effect on access to the website or the games. You can change or withdraw your decision at any time by selecting . Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

6. Google Analytics

If you consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided in the European Economic Area by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics helps us understand which pages and games are used, how visitors reach the website and how users interact with LOWUMI.

The information processed may include:

For visitors in the EU, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, Google states that individual IP addresses are not logged or stored. IP addresses may be used briefly to derive coarse location information and are then discarded. Analytics data may nevertheless be processed by Google group companies and service providers in countries outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. Such transfers are based on the safeguards used by Google, which may include adequacy decisions such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

The legal basis for Google Analytics is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where applicable, the relevant rules on storing or accessing information on your device). Google Analytics remains disabled if you reject analytics. We use Google Analytics only for audience measurement and product improvement; advertising storage, advertising user data and personalised advertising are set to denied.

Google Analytics data are retained according to the retention settings configured in our Analytics property. Aggregated reports may remain available for longer because they no longer contain the same event-level detail. Further information is available in Google's privacy information and Google Analytics documentation.

7. Analytics events used by LOWUMI

After consent, LOWUMI may record events such as:

We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, free-text input or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.

8. Email contact

You can contact us at hello@lowumi.com. If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide to answer your enquiry and handle any follow-up questions. Depending on the context, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual or contractual communication or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries. We delete correspondence when it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention duties require longer storage.

9. Recipients

Personal data may be disclosed to technical service providers only where this is necessary for operating the website or providing the selected service. Where required, such providers process data under appropriate contractual and data-protection safeguards. Google receives analytics data only after your consent.

10. Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you may have the right to:

11. Security

We use HTTPS encryption and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the website and the data processed through it. No internet service can, however, guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, the games, analytics configuration or legal requirements change. The current version is always published on this page.
